I go to sleep

Ray Davies of The Kinks wrote this song in 1965. He and Chrissie Hynde had a daughter together during their common-law marriage in the '70s and '80s. Davies wrote this while waiting for news from the hospital where his wife (not Hynde) was giving birth. She had a girl. Davies' most-covered song that he did not write for The Kinks.
Sia says in the liner notes that the Chrissie Hynde version was her inspiration. The band consists of a guitar, bass, drums, keyboard/synth, cello, and of course, Sia's vocals. The blend of sounds is mesmerizing, especially the repetition of the chorus. From her live CD "Lady Croissant". -(http://www.astralwerks.com/sia/)"
